Mohamad El Kousa & Sons founded Malco Trading company in 1982, following a longs family tradition in the restaurants and catering business. Malco then started the first industrial bakery line in Lebanon, producing and distributing hambuger buns and a variety of other bread lines. In 1986 Malco started pain dor, a specialized bakery in French bread. Later on, in the early 90s, a new line for croissants was introduced that was soon followed by a pastry line.
