Mehnati is an online platform dedicated to raising awareness about vocational and technical education in Lebanon. This website introduces academic school students to the aspects of vocational education and guides them through the process of career development, by assessing their skills and helping them explore their career path, develop their abilities, as well as plan for their future. On the other hand, "Mehnati" is a platform directed to all professional students in Lebanon, to help them develop their skills and prepare to enter the labor market, and plan for their careers. This platform serves all GET projects in particular, and IECD projects in general.
The Institute for European Cooperation and Development (IECD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in France in 1988 to support human and economic growth in several countries, through education and training, and to improve youth employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. Over the past 33 years, the institute has developed expertise in vocational training, providing support to small and micro businesses in nearly 51 countries: from Africa to the Indian Ocean and the Middle East, all the way to Southeast Asia.
The Lebanese Association “Semeurs D’avenir” was established in 2012, with the support of the European Institute for Cooperation and Development (IECD), to project a local structure that can ensure the continuity of the projects launched in Lebanon, where it is its main partner. As part of its partnership with the European Institute for Cooperation and Development, “Semeurs D’avenir” is today implementing 6 development projects in the field of learning, education, and career guidance, including the program of employment and guidance offices, which is behind the “Mehnati” initiative today.
