Job Description

The General Services Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and inspection works. The role includes preventive and corrective maintenance, painting, minor repair works, routine inspections while ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards. 

Requirements

On Job Duties:

  • Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks to ensure service requirements are met
  • Conduct daily inspections of general services works such as wooden doors, painting works, stainless steel thresholds, handrails, and related items
  • Identify non-compliances and report promptly to the Direct Manager, including recommendations when required
  • Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance based on Control Room requests in alignment with the Direct Manager
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all general services equipment to ensure optimal functionality and reliability
  • Repair wall plaster and rendering cracks as preparation for painting works
  • Perform internal and external painting works
  • Conduct minor repairs on floors and carpets, including metal, wooden, and ceiling elements
  • Perform general services work during projects and renovation activities • Respond promptly to general services emergencies
  • Coordinate with subcontracted service providers and supervise execution to ensure compliance with required standards and guidelines
  • Ensure all general services tools, equipment, and components such as thresholds, handles, hinges, and handrails are properly maintained and kept in good condition
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools and equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of service requests, repairs, and inventory of spare parts
  • Prepare and submit daily reports on completed tasks, service calls, and maintenance activities to the Direct Manager
  • Follow and implement technical policies, procedures, and safety regulations  Stakeholders Relationship
  • Maintain strong coordination with the Operations team to ensure effective collaboration and successful outcomes.
  • Work closely with technical team members to ensure alignment in activities and resolve issues efficiently  

Others

  • Ensure compliance with the authority matrix, code of conduct and HR policies
  • Stay up to date with the latest development and best practices in the plumbing field  
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned and based on business need in alignment with the Direct Manager 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education Technical Diploma
  • Experience At least 5 years in a similar position
